Diabetes is a chronic lifelong metabolic disease that requires long-term and stable blood glucose monitoring and intervention to prevent complications such as hypoglycemia, hyperglycemia and vascular lesions. Traditional blood glucose detection methods include fingertip blood collection and wearable non-invasive glucose monitors. Fingertip blood detection is invasive and can only obtain instantaneous blood glucose data, unable to reflect dynamic blood glucose changes throughout the day. Existing wearable monitoring devices are susceptible to interference from sweat, skin temperature and body movement, resulting in low detection accuracy and poor long-term stability. To solve the above clinical problems, this study designs an implantable miniature continuous glucose monitoring medical device with ultra-long service life. The device is only 3mm in size and can be minimally invasively implanted under the abdominal skin through a tiny needle. It adopts a high-stability enzyme sensing probe, which can continuously detect interstitial fluid glucose concentration in real time for up to 18 months, and convert the data into accurate blood glucose values through built-in calibration algorithms. The device is equipped with ultra-low-power wireless transmission technology, which can synchronize real-time blood glucose curves, high and low blood glucose early warning information to mobile phones and medical management platforms. It can automatically record daily blood glucose fluctuation rules, provide data support for doctors to adjust hypoglycemic drugs and insulin dosage. Multi-center clinical trial results show that the detection error of the implantable device is less than 8%, which meets the highest clinical accuracy standard. It realizes long-term, continuous and high-precision blood glucose monitoring, completely changes the intermittent detection mode of traditional blood glucose monitoring, and provides a powerful intelligent medical device for precise management of diabetes.
