Wearable Ultrasound Microneedle Patch for On-Demand and Sustained Management of Gouty Arthritis

Gouty arthritis requires long-term dynamic management and on-demand intervention, while traditional treatment instruments are bulky, immovable and unable to achieve home-based continuous therapy. This paper proposes a flexible wearable ultrasound microneedle patch integrated with micro-ultrasound excitation and transdermal drug delivery function. The lightweight and flexible device can fit closely to human joint skin, using low-intensity ultrasound to assist microneedle transdermal drug penetration, realizing targeted, sustained and non-invasive treatment of joint inflammation. It achieves real-time regulation of local joint microcirculation and effective relief of gout symptoms, enabling portable, long-term household management of chronic joint diseases.
